If you’re looking to get out there and explore Fresno before the end of the month, you’re in luck! There’s plenty of fun and interesting events and activities for anyone to explore. Let’s take a look at just a few of the fun events you can attend.
Theatre: Barefoot in the Park
Whether you’re a drama enthusiast or looking to broaden your horizons, the 2nd Space Theatre is a great place to start. Their current show—Barefoot in the Park—is a romantic comedy about free-spirited newlyweds trying to make their marriage work in a tiny New York apartment.
The show runs until October 10th, so September might be your last chance to check it out. Tickets are $20 for general admission, and $18 for students between 8-15 years old, current or retired military, or seniors 62 years and older. Showtimes vary depending on the day, so be sure to check out their website.
Dining Out: Food Trucks at Gazebo Gardens
Whether you like food or flora, you’re sure to enjoy Gazebo Gardens’ food truck night. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, you can sample a variety of food trucks and—if you’re 21 or older—a variety of beers.
The Gazebo Gardens provide a lovely backdrop to a fun dining experience, complete with live music!
These fun nights will stop for the year after October 1st, however, so be sure to try it out before then. We’ve got great news, we just heard from Scott Miller over at Gazebo Gardens and they aren’t closing the beer garden for the winter (we got some bad information – our deepest apologies to our readers and the folks over at Gazebo Gardens). They will continue to be open for your enjoyment all year long and in the future.
Sports: The Fresno Grizzlies
As sports enthusiasts may already know, the baseball season ends on September 31st. If you’re looking to support our local team, the last home games will be every day from September 14th to the end of the season.
To buy tickets and check the game schedule, visit their website at milb.com/fresno.
Outdoors: Visit Fresno Parks
Though you can visit Fresno’s many beautiful parks at any point in the year, it’s a good idea to try and get your outdoor adventures in before Fall starts in earnest. Whether you want to check out the architecture and artistry of Shinzen Friendship Garden or tour Forestiere Underground Gardens, you’re sure to be amazed.
With this much to do in Fresno, you’re sure to have a busy September!
