Run with Heroes 2018 5K Walk/Run & 10K—Castle Air Park, Atwater
When: Saturday, June 2
Cost: $40
Salute local heroes during this race designed to raise awareness of first responders. It gets underway at the Merced Animal Shelter. Participants will pass the old Castle Air Force Base grounds. Registration includes a t-shirt, finisher’s medal, and BBQ lunch.
Poverello House Run for Meals 2-Mile Walk & 5K Run—Woodward Park
When: Saturday, June 2
Cost: $35 (registration ends May 31)
This race at Fresno’s Woodward Park raises funds for the Poverello House, which provides meals, social services, and temporary shelter to those in need.

The BIG 5K Fun Run, Fleet Feet—Fresno
When: Wednesday, June 6
Cost: $35
Fleet Feets throughout the nation will be hosting races on the same day. The Fresno race is being held at the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust. There will be food and beer after you cross the finish line. Last year 12,000 runners took part nationwide.
Shadow of the Giants 50K & 20K Trail Runs—Fish Camp
When: Saturday, June 9
Cost: 50K is $115, 20K is $50
This trail run is so popular, it’s already sold out. There is a wait list you can add yourself to. Runners make their way through the big trees of Fish Camp. It’s intense! Aid stations are located five miles apart. The 50K has an 8-hour cut-off.
5K Bubble Fun Run/Walk for Asthma Awareness—Woodward Park
When: Saturday, June 9
Cost: Adults: $35. Kids 15 and under: $20.
The Central California Asthma Collaborative hosts this family fun run each year. The goal is to raise awareness about asthma and other respiratory diseases. This year’s run is taking place at Woodward Park.
Hot Fudge Sundae 5K Run—Woodward Park
When: Sunday, June 10
Cost: $35 (prices increase June 1)
A cool treat waits for you at the finish line at Woodward Park! The Hot Fudge Run is part of the Summertime Run Series. Participants receive a shirt, medallion, and of course a hot fudge sundae.
Father’s Day 2-Mile Walk/Run & 6-Mile Run—Fresno
When: Sunday, June 17
Cost: $25 (prices increase June 16)
This annual run, now in its 52nd year, is the second oldest community run on the west coast. The race not only promotes exercise, but also salutes the fathers of our community. All proceeds go to the Fresno City College Track and Field Teams.
