When we started asking around at the office the first place just about everyone said was “Ampersand!” so we started prefacing the question with “Besides Ampersand…“- which speaks highly of this locally owned fav. We’ve included them in quite a few posts. Flavors change every month and they have 3 locations. Hours are Noon to 11 PM Daily. G’S CREAMERY
G’s Creamery is another local ice cream favorite. We wrote about them way back in 2016! “G’s Creamery Brings New Sweetness to Fresno” They specialize in handcrafted, small-batch ice cream made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Their menu features a wide variety of classic and unique flavors, as well as more adventurous options like mango and cardamom. In addition, they also offer Indian-inspired flavors such as Kulfi, a traditional Indian ice cream made with condensed milk and flavored with cardamom, pistachios, and saffron. They have two locations and hours vary based on the day of the week.

It’s another pretty simple concept but with a twist. Premium ice cream in fabulous flavors, hand crafted into rolls, then topped with a variety of toppings and sauces. We love this story! What started out as a project for a business class at CSU Fresno, quickly become a dream, and now a reality! After graduating from Fresno State in 2012, Janel Nunes and her family went to work on creating Fresno’s 1st Gourmet & Hand-Scooped Ice Cream truck. After years of hard work, they have have grown to have a Truck, Trailer & NOW even a Classic Push Cart! WONDERS ICE CREAM
Another rolled ice cream place that is locally owned. They have 32 pre built options but you can always have them make exactly what you want. We say you can’t go wrong with #21 (the Caramel Macchiato) but we hear nothing but good things about the others. Afterall, like their website says, “Life is better with ice cream“.
