Papi’s Mex Grill
Rather than share a recipe this week, I wanted to share a local restaurant that we often eat at I thought you’d really enjoy! Papi’s Mex Grill.
Best known for their tacos & fajitas (we love them both!) they have great salsa and fun casual atmosphere.

Last weekend when we stopped by it was about 11 am, just in time for an early lunch – we asked for some recommendations and my hubby decided upon Tacos el Carbon.

This is a rolled taco filled with steak (though chicken is also available), served with beans and rice.
I opted for carnitas fajitas which was served steaming hot to the table as you can see from the picture!

The pork was tender, served with grilled onions & bell pepper. Served alongside with rice & beans, sour cream & salad and guacamole upon request.
Their portions are very generous – especially for lunch time! We brought home leftovers from both meals. Sunday morning I chopped up the leftover pork, steak, peppers and onions and it became a delicious omelet! toss everything into. We’ve always enjoyed our meals at Papi’s.

Salsa and chips are served complimentary with every meal too! We usually sit in the bar area where they have several TV’s tuned to the game of choice. The full bar also offers an amazing array of tequila! You can click here to check out their menu.
I have to tell you, it’s a hit! We love Papi’s! Their food is consistently delicious, service is great – the staff has always been attentive and friendly. I know we all have our favorites and certainly and an abundance of authentic Mexican Restaurants to visit here in the valley, but if you’re looking for a fun casual atmosphere, I encourage you to give Papi’s Mex Grill a try!
Papi’s Mexi Grill is open 7 days a week. They are located at the corner of Champlain & Shepherd near Orchard Supply Hardware. 1568 E Champlain Dr #105 Fresno, 93720. Swing by and check them out! I’d love to hear what YOU think!
