There’s lots to do in November! Here are 21 events to add to your calendar now.
Thursday, Nov. 1
1. Downtown Fresno/Tower District ArtHop. The first Thursday of the month is for enjoying art at various venues, but this night is special because the 2019 ArtHop logo will be revealed at the Fresno Arts Council at 6 p.m. Pizza, beer and art—can’t beat that. Find details here
2. It’s the annual CMAC Fest starting at 5:30 p.m. This free, all ages event will feature food trucks, a beer and wine garden, live music, and games and activities for all ages, including testing out some cool virtual reality gear. More info can be found here
Friday, Nov. 2
3. The 2018 Fresno Film Festival kicks off at the Tower Theatre on Nov. 2 and runs through Nov. 4. It will feature seven exclusive feature-length movies and two local award-winning short films representing 13 different countries, including special filmmaker appearances and Q&A discussions. Tickets for individual programs cost $10 general and $8 for students and seniors. Festival passes cost $50. Buy tickets here
4. The Vote like Hell Concert featuring the band CAKE will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the Historic Crest Theatre in downtown Fresno. This is a political fundraising supporting Andrew Janz. Tickets are $40. Purchase tickets here
5. The 13th Annual Fresno Home Improvement Show with Tiny House Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 2-4 at the Fresno Fairgrounds. Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for seniors. Purchase tickets here
Saturday, Nov. 3
6. It’s Free Museum Day! Enjoy free admission at participating museums across the Central Valley. For a list of participating museums, click here
Thursday, Nov. 8
7. The 5th annual Winter Wonderland will be held at Willow Gardens Nursery from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be decorated Christmas trees, Christmas tree décor, a holiday boutique, plus food and complimentary wine and wine glass. This is a free event. Get details here
Saturday, Nov. 10
8. A Water Lantern Festival will take place at Woodward Park at 3 p.m. There will be food trucks, music, and a lantern launch across the water. Tickets are $30 in advance. Get tickets here
9. The Kearney Park Renaissance Faire will be held at Kearney Park Nov. 10 and 11 beginning at 10 a.m. both days. See Medieval battles, enjoy an artisan marketplace, and partake in an extensive food court. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids, seniors, and military. Ticket info is here
Sunday, Nov. 11
10. Shinzen Stroll Champagne Brunch is a joint fundraiser by the Cultural Arts Rotary Club and Shinzen Friendship Garden that will allow you to taste brunch items from local restaurants while enjoying music, arts, a silent auction, and cultural performances. Cost is $35 in advance. Ticket purchase includes a complimentary glass of champagne, and savory and sweet brunch foods with orange juice, coffee, and tea. Purchase tickets here
Saturday, Nov. 17
11. Live at Bitwise presents guitarist Omar Naré and violinist Patrick Contreras in an event will redefine how you think of Chicano violin and guitar music. Arrive at 7 p.m. for pre-show cocktails and food. Seating will begin at 7:45 p.m. with the performance taking place at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here
12. Get your holiday shopping started at this year’s Holiday Bake & Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. at the Valley Animal Center. Arrive early and purchase your favorite baked goods before they sell out. All proceeds from the baked goods sale go back to helping the homeless animals in the Central Valley. Sunday, Nov. 18
13. The Women’s Art and Music Festival of Fresno will be held at the Tower Theatre from 3 to 6 p.m. WAMFF provides an eclectic showing of arts created by local female artists and made accessible to all people of all ages. Tickets are $12 for adults; kids 12 and under are free. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Tower Theatre. Buy tickets here
Monday, Nov. 19
14. It’s opening night of the Davis Family Christmas Light Show! The 2018 show features over 25,000 Christmas lights synchronized to 16 songs. Plus, enjoy food from Bobby Salazar’s from 6 to 8 p.m. The light show will end at 10 p.m. Learn all about the show here

15. Join Catholic Charities and KSEE24 for the 9th Annual Turkey Drive. All donations welcome. Learn more about it here
Wednesday, Nov. 21
16. The Beetles Thanksgiving Show will take place at 7:45 p.m. at Fulton 55. Tickets to this 21+ show are $10 in advance. Buy them here
Thursday, Nov. 22
17. Work off those Thanksgiving calories! The Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run and 2-mile Walk will happen at Woodward Park at 8 a.m. All race details can be found here
Friday, Nov. 23
18. Santa Claus Lane Opening Night will feature a brand new musical light show from 6 to 10 p.m. in Clovis. Drive or walk the lane, take free pics with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and enjoy food trucks. More info can be found here

19. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2018 presented By Hallmark Channel hits the Save Mart Center. Tickets start at $33. Get more info here
20. Spend An Evening with Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen at the Visalia Fox Theatre. Show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $9 and can be purchased here
Friday, Nov. 30
21. It’s the 25th anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas! See this classic film on the screen at the Crest Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m., film starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased here
