Grew up in: Glendale AZ/Kerman CA. Moved to Kerman when I was 14 so my dad could help with the family farm.
Attended school at: Homeschooled from 4th grade through high school. Joined Chawanakee Academy as an independent study for high school and graduated from there.
Family: I’m a caretaker of my dad who has stage 4 cancer, and I have a younger brother and sister.
What I love about real estate: I love guiding people on the complicated process of a transaction. It’s scary and emotional. The fact that I have the knowledge to explain and ease their stress makes me happy. My favorite is when looking at homes with buyers and they ask me how will we know which one is the one. I say there will be a home that you walk into and you’ll know. Trust me. And then they do walk into a home and know instantly it is the one and start tearing up. I love the emotional response. It’s everything they have been dreaming about and planning for. I also love meeting all kinds of different people and learning about different traditions and cultures.
Favorite house sold: The house on Spruce Ave. It was my first house sold at an open house which is completely cool. It came about in a neat way too. I held it open on both Saturday and Sunday, it was an REO. This couple came in on Saturday, said they stopped by because they had just left their kids home and were curious. But it wasn’t the home for them. I spent a lot of time talking with them. On Sunday, a young couple came in and said, “Wow, we need to get mom and dad here. They need to buy this home!” So they call mom and dad who happened to be the couple from Saturday! Mom and dad told the kids it wasn’t the home for them. So the couple left. A little while later another young adult comes in and says, “Hey I need to get mom and dad to see this!” Guess who he called! Yup, the same couple! Once the second kid called, they decided they had to see the house again, so they drove in from out of town and got there towards the end of the open house. I didn’t lock up that open house till 6 p.m. when it ended at 4 p.m. What they didn’t like about the home on Saturday didn’t bother them on Sunday. They liked it and wanted to be in the same neighborhood as their children and grandchildren. We competed with multiple offers but we won! They love living there and now they are dear friends. They couldn’t imagine living in another home.
What FresYes means to me: It means to me a city that is proud of local offerings, the local people and has pride in our city
Favorite Fresno landmark: Kearney Mansion
Favorite place to get a drink in Fresno area: Little Tea Leaf in Tower District or Downtown
Favorite thing to do on the weekend: Read a book and drink earl grey tea with honey
Favorite non-Fresno destination: Beach! Any of them within a 3-hour drive
Cake or pie: Pie! Pie and cookies are my weakness. I can easily pass up cake.
More about me: Aside from real estate, Young Professional Network, and Toastmasters, my other joys in life are spending time with family, reading, the beach, swimming, and red wine! I am a huge advocate of our Central Valley community and the people therein. For me it is a wonderful place to live and I would enjoy a chance to share my love and knowledge with you.
