Finally, a cool place to take your grandparents to dinner or grab a healthy lunch in less than 10 minutes. Jack’s Urban Eats, the Sacramento-based Hofbrau-style restaurant opened yesterday in Fig Garden Village.
This is a place where you can order anything from a full Thanksgiving dinner (there’s a hand-carved turkey station) to a healthy salad with the toppings of your choice. It’s right in between The Vault and White House Black Market, just West of Whole Foods.
A Few Local Twists
The owner of Jack’s may not be from Fresno, but he was sure to source at least a few locally-owned items in this new spot. The cookies (including gluten-free varieties) are from Doug-out. They’re in the process of carrying Tioga Sequoia beer, and there are even a few tables made from the reclaimed wood from the old Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley, thanks to Revive Industries.
The Food
Jack’s Fresno employees recommend the steak salad and of course, Jack’s Urban Fries. If you read Bethany’s post on the Beehive, you’ve already heard about these (topped with blue cheese sauce, spicy chili oil, chili flakes, and parsley):
Why is everything fried with cheese so irresistible???
The BBQ Tri-tip Sandwich and the Chinese Chicken Salad:
And the full menu (or read it here):
Oh, and something I thought was fun: a soda machine with 110 drink options!

Don’t worry; there’s a beer and wine selection to help keep you calm while your kids are trying Every. Single. Soda.
Jack’s is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday – Monday, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday. Follow them on Facebook or Instagram.
