Last month we told you about a contest downtown Fresno’s Fulton Street is participating in. The prize is $25,000 cash.
Well, guess what? We made it to the quarterfinals!
If you’ll recall, the goal of the America’s Main Streets contest, hosted by Independent We Stand, is to help promote the importance and strong economic benefits of main streets and the small businesses that help them thrive. The winning “main street” will receive $25,000 in cash and related prizes to help with revitalization, including a $1,000 Stihl equipment certificate, Do it Best Corp. $500 shopping spree, and PPG Paints $500 shopping spree.
Vote every day until May 27
The competition has been whittled down from about two hundred cities to just 25 quarterfinalists. This round of voting goes until May 27. You can vote once every 24 hours.
On May 28, the ten semifinalists will be announced, and the grand prize winner will be announced on June 4.
