Just in case you didn’t know, FresYes is a real estate company. That means that we deal a lot with people moving – moving out or moving in. We know first hand that packing to move can be an overwhelming and time-consuming process, often accompanied by a sense of chaos and stress. Anything that can make that process easier, or less stressful, or just more pleasant would be a welcome addition. That’s why we’re pleased to introduce you to this relatively new idea when it comes to that stressful moving process.
Tell us, who are you, where did you come from, and what do you do?
EZPak is a Fresno based, owned and operated company. Owners, Matt and Elisa Brown are lifelong residents of Fresno and are proud to call Fresno their home for over 43 years. Matt’s background is agriculture. However, he has always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit! His passion lies in helping others. You can see this in his customer service and always going above and beyond for anyone who crosses his path.
Elisa’s background is in Quality Performance Improvement as a Registered Nurse. You may be wondering what does this healthcare background have anything to do with moving boxes. Elisa’s job focuses on efficiency, process improvement and innovation. These tools Elisa uses every day at her job helped EZPak to identify the problem (the nightmare of packing and moving!) and how to create a better, more efficient process (EZPak Bins!).
Tell us more about the EZPaK Bins
We are a local business born out of need! Owners Matt and Elisa Brown and family were moving into a new home. His wife, Elisa, was working full time with 2 small children. Matt worked 10-12 hours a day in Huron in Farm Management. Elisa was overwhelmed at the mere thought of finding, buying, assembling and/or saving boxes for the move. (The “locating the end of the tape roll” struggle is real, people!). Add in the variable of packing up their entire house with 2 small kids running around– Elisa knew she needed to get creative. She knew there HAD to be a better, for efficient process for packing. And there is!! Using stackable, reusable bins saved Elisa valuable time and energy during this pack. In fact, she packed her entire 3,000 Sq ft house in ONE DAY! This is how EZPak was born!
What do you feel makes EZPak Bins stand out?
We know that communication is important. And everyone communicates differently. Some appreciate the phone call to go over options– and Matt is always happy to field your phone call or questions! While some like speaking to a live person, others would prefer do everything virtually or by text. And we get it! We poured a lot of time, love and thought into our website that makes it easy to coordinate and book everything virtually. EZPak.com allows us to provide the best customer service we can. Matt is always a call, text or email away.
Matt also understands that some clients have unique situations and he will go the extra mile to accommodate any reasonable requests.
What is it that most people DON’T know about your business?
EZPak Bins are all uniform sized, and they stack and fit perfectly together. When stacked, their design ensures they do not slide around during transport! Our design has easy to grip handles on both ends making them a breeze to move once they are packed.
Cardboard boxes are not hygienic! Cardboard cannot be cleaned; dust and bacteria collects in the grooves. Can be a source of bacterial and fungal growth when wet.
Fun Fact: Hospitals are not allowed to keep corrugated boxes in clinical areas as they pose an infection prevention risk!
When stored in your garage, they can become hiding places for rodents and insects! Cardboard boxes are highly susceptible to mice and insects. Our EZPak bins are easily sanitized between uses!
The average family spends close to $500.00 on cardboard boxes, tape, and packing materials at places like Home Depot, Uhaul or Lowes.
