Today, the Board of Directors of the Central California Women’s Conference (CCWC) honored 65 non-profits serving women and children with grants totaling $100,000. The recipients were recognized at CCWC’s Community Celebration Reception.
To date, CCWC has donated more than $900,000 to Valley non-profits serving women and children. Funding has benefited recipients by providing an array of services ranging from mammograms to food, shelter, clothing, education, and more.
Today’s celebration falls during National Women’s Health Week, which seeks to bring attention to women’s health issues.
Now in its 30th year, more than 86,950 women have attended the Central California Women’s Conference since its inception. This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Tickets go on sale in early June at ccwc-fresno.org.
