One of my main goals as a writer for FresYes is to share amazing events and places. My focus is mostly on our community. I love the community of Fresno. I have witnessed others all over town take care of one another. I believe that there are a lot of good people in Fresno, and that Fresno has a lot to offer its residents.
So, this is why I’m sharing an event about a franchise. I usually like to share a spotlight on small businesses, but I think this place believes in Fresno, and puts community involvement as a high priority.
Buffalo Wild Wings is opening up a new location in the Broadway Faire shopping center. This is exciting to me because I live on this side of town. I love having new restaurants that are around the corner from me, and I’ve never even been to a Buffalo Wild Wings before! And here’s a secret, I’ve actually never even had real buffalo wings. I think the only wings I’ve eaten have been boneless, from KFC, and I’m pretty sure they don’t count. So, I’m looking forward to trying a new restaurant!
The new location will be located at 3331 W Shaw Ave, 93711. (Shaw and Valentine-by the UA Broadway Faire movie theater. Hey, eat some wings, see a movie.)
The official grand opening will be Monday, December 7th, at 10am, complete with ribbon cutting. Guess what? To celebrate, Buffalo Wild Wings will be offering FREE wings for a year to the first 100 guests in line for the restaurant’s 10am opening. (Each recipient of the ‘Free Wings for a Year’ giveaway will receive a coupon book with 52 vouchers for snack sized wings – one order for every week of the year. Also, to receive free wings for a year, local wing fanatics are encouraged to arrive early and must remain present until the doors open to receive the prize.) I know this is becoming increasingly more popular with restaurants, but isn’t it kind of fun?! I mean who doesn’t want to win something free for a whole year?
Now, if you don’t like wings, their menu also includes specialty burgers, sandwiches, finger foods, salads, and wraps. See, there’s lots to choose from!
Now here’s the part that I love, and want to share with you. On Saturday December 5th there is a VIP Night. It’s by invite only, and not open to the general public. ALL proceeds from this event will be donated to our local Boys & Girls Club. This. This is why I would take my business here. The Boys & Girls Club does so much for the children in our community, and for a company to want to pour money back into the community in which it’s in, speaks volumes.
Even if you don’t make it to the grand opening, try it out another time. Let’s support places that want to support Fresno!
