Pinot’s Palette, the first international franchisor of paint and sip studios in North America, with a fun, relatively-new location right here in Fresno, will host a nationwide fundraising event on September 28, 2016 in support of the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Finding cures. Saving children®. (For more on our local Pinot’s Palette, check out my previous article here!)
Pinot’s Palette – Fresno is hosting its local fundraising event at 7pm, on Sept. 28 located at 6763 N. Palm Ave. Fresno CA 93704
During the Painting It Forward event, studios will donate a minimum of $15 per seat reservation to St. Jude. Pinot’s Palette chose St. Jude because of the hospital’s success in finding ways to improve the survival rate of childhood cancers.
If you’ve thought about signing up for a Paint n’ Sip Night, may I strongly encourage you to consider giving it a go on this special night? St. Jude is such an amazing hospital, it would make my heart so happy to see Fresno participating and putting our local Pinot’s Palette on the map for being a very significant contributor in this charitable event.
Did you know that if a child is accepted for care at St. Jude’s (which specifically serves children with cancer) their family will never be denied treatment on account of cost – and in fact, families with insurance do not pay for any services their insurance doesn’t cover, and those without insurance pay nothing. Furthermore, St. Jude even helps with travel to their hospitals, accommodations and meals for family members, for often months at a time if necessary?
St. Jude incurs costs of $1.8 million per day on average, and is dependent upon charitable contributions to continue its ongoing fight (and what a fight it is!) against childhood cancers. If that’s not something worth supporting – I don’t know what is. In fact, St. Jude is SO good at fighting cancer, treatments invented at there have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. The hospital is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and it won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
This is the second year that all Pinot’s Palette studios have supported St. Jude on a national scale. Commitment to community and partners is one of the Pinot’s Palette values, and Painting It Forward is how local studios give back year-round.
Last year over 1,500 participants in the Pinot’s Palette campaign, raised more than $34,000 for St. Jude. “We look forward to a larger event this year with even more participants raising funds to benefit this incredible organization,” said Charles Willis, Co-Founder and President of Pinot’s Palette.
