Fresno’s North Point Center at the south west corner of Palm and Herndon will soon be home to the area’s first Pinot’s Palette, a brick-and-mortar franchised “paint and sip” art studio that allows guest to enjoy wine while they learn from local artists how to create their own piece of art. With over 50 locations across the country, Pinot’s Palette promises that no experience is necessary to follow the step-by-step teaching methods of their artist instructors, and that even if you’ve never painted a day in your life prior to attending a class, you’ll still leave with your own masterpiece. (Or at the very least, perhaps you’ll be tipsy enough from your pinot to think you’ve made a masterpiece. Kidding – that was my own personal addition 😉 (p.s. paint and drink responsibly – don’t paint, drink and drive, get an Uber!)
Judging by the popularity of Paint Nite events, which offer a similar format of paint-and-sip classes hosted at various restaurants & wineries around the Valley, there seems to be enough interest to easily support both Paint Nite and Pinot’s Palette. With Paint Nite events selling out at times within hours of being posted, I’ve no doubt this novel entertainment activity will continue to gain popularity as the adult crowd that’s not interested in the club and bar scene continues to seek fun ways to spend a girls’ night out or a date night.
Located near some of Fresno’s best restaurants (Parma, Bella Pasta, Cracked Pepper, Zen Wok) Pinot’s location seems absolutely perfect for a night out, but also offers corporate team building events, private paint parties, fundraisers in which a portion of all proceeds go to charity, and gift certificates. There are two and three hour paint classes offered, and two paint rooms available in the Fresno facility. Of note, seeing as alcohol is served, all painters must be 21 and older to partake in classes, so be sure to reserve your favorite babysitters as you plan for your class.
Pinot’s Palette Fresno is being opened by local couple Ken and Stacy Gould, and Stacy says their opening is just around the corner and she’s “so excited!” (Me too, Stacy, me too!) Paintings are beginning to be scheduled for April in the online class calendar here, so click on over to see some of the great pieces you can learn to recreate in a class this Spring. To stay in the loop on Pinot’s Palette Fresno’s opening and upcoming classes, you can sign up for emails here.
Yet another great benefit to welcoming a fun, new business to Fresno is the creation of local jobs. Stacy says they are currently hiring for artist/instructors as well as wine servers so if you know of someone who would love to teach or work in a fun environment like Pinot’s, you should definitely have them contact the Goulds at fresno@PinotsPalette.com.
So Fresno friends, will you be painting and sipping at Pinot’s when they open this Spring?
