We don’t get political here on FresYes, but we want to encourage everyone to get out and make your vote count. The important part is that you vote and your voice is heard.
The deadline is November 8th.
California has Conditional Voter Registration (CVR). CVR allows voters to register, or update their registration, after the normal registration deadline has passed, including on Election Day. Voters using CVR cast CVR provisional ballots which will be counted upon acceptance of their registration application. CVR is available from October 25 – November 8 at county election offices, early voting locations, Election Day polling places, and at every vote center in counties with county-wide vote centers.
To register in California you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be age 18 or older on or before November 8
- Be a resident of California
- Not currently be serving a state or federal prison term for the conviction of a felony
- Not currently found to be mentally incompetent to vote by a court
CHECK to see if you are registered at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/registration-status.
