It’s a great time of year to get out and ride the bicycle with the family. We have so many great trails to take advantage of. If you are more of a Strava KOM Hunter there’s nothing like hitting the road in the early morning hours and riding in the cool crisp air while the sun rises.

Mountain, road, family rides around the park or just a lazy weekend spin down to the Farmer’s Market – sooner or later you’ll probably need the services of a bicycle professional.
With that in mind, here is what we think are the top bicycle repair shops in our area, but we also want to hear your opinion so we’ve added a poll at the bottom.

There’s one very important thing to know. Bicycles are not like Cars. While you might own a Ford car, and it’s made up of many Ford specific parts, you might naturally to take it to a Ford Repair place (like the dealer that you bought it from).
Bicycles on the other hand, use many of the same parts across different brands. Brands like Trek, Cannondale, Specialized, Giant, Canyon, and Santa Cruz will design and make the frames but usually the bulk of the running gear is made by companies like SRAM or Shimano. Sometimes a bigger brand like TREK will also use some of their own branded parts. Example: some of the TREK bikes will have Bontrager parts, like seats, bars, rims and tires.

But the truth is, you can usually replace these parts with virtually any other parts of like same and size with no problems. You can replace a 29 x 2.3 Maxxis Minion tire with a Specialized 29 x 2.3 Butcher any time you want.
What that means is that no matter where or what brand your bike is, you can take it to most any shop for parts and repair.

Remember, once again, you don’t have to have a Trek, they’ll work on anything. We believe this is a “factory owned” bike shop meaning that is owned by the corporation and not a “Mom & Pop”. No matter who owns it, it’s the staff that makes the difference and they have great reviews on Google and Yelp.
