The last thing we would ever want to do is rush the seasons. We’re just getting into the fall vibe and T-Day is coming up soon, but we really want to tell you about the Angel Tree Program that we’re involved with.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program is a Christmas assistance program that provides new clothes and toys to children in need. The program began in 1979 with just one tree in Lynchburg, Virginia, and has since grown to serve over one million children in the United States each year.

To participate in the Angel Tree Program, families first register with their local Salvation Army. Once registered, the child’s name, age, gender, and wish list are placed on an angel tag and hung on a Christmas tree at a local business or organization. Donors can then select an angel tag and purchase gifts for the child. The gifts are then collected and distributed to the families in time for Christmas morning.
What are they looking for?
Here’s just a small sample of the Angel Tree Requests we have on file right now.

Now seriously, how easy would it be for you to help just one of these struggling families?
Pretty gosh darn easy, right? We invite you to be a part of this heartwarming tradition by choosing your angel(s) and making their holiday wishes come true.
Here’s a button that leads to a form that will get you started. Once submitted Ashley (she’s an absolute angel!) will contact you and give you all the details that you need.
December 6th is the day when all gifts should be ready for pick-up.
The Angel Tree Program is a vital resource for families who are struggling financially during the holiday season. For many children, the gifts they receive through the program are the only ones they will open on Christmas morning. The program also helps to ease the financial burden on families, allowing them to focus on other important needs, such as food and shelter.

In addition to providing gifts to children, the Angel Tree Program also helps to promote the spirit of giving and compassion during the holiday season. By participating in the program, donors have the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child in need.
Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Angel Tree Program is a way to make sure that happens, no matter what financial situation a family is in.
