At the start of the year, my husband and I made a New Year’s resolution to intentionally plan and go on more date nights out, and purposely seek new places to try. Like most people, we tend to get into patterns and frequent our same favorite spots, and we wanted to venture out. This has been a fantastic resolution so far, and has led to some wonderful experiences, including a relaxing date night this past weekend at new Downtown Fresno wine bar, Lune.

Lune is the new kid on the block on Fulton Street, just a tad south of Quail State and a bit north of the Brewery District. Located at 938 Fulton Street. Trust me when I say this place is a dreamy, relaxing gem that deserves a spot on your must-visit list. So, grab your wine glass, and let’s dive into what makes Lune special!
Lune Wine Bar: A Wine Lover’s Paradise
If you have a weakness for wine, Lune Wine Bar is going to be your personal paradise. This place has curated an impressive selection of wines from near and far. Whether you prefer a refreshing white or a bold red, Lune has got you covered. They’re all about taking your taste buds on an incredible journey, introducing you to new flavors and helping you rediscover old favorites. In addition, they also create wine cocktails like the very refreshing Pineapple Wine Punch made with Moscato di Asti, pineapple juice and sparkling water or the bright Rosé Limonata, made with Fossil Point Rosé and San Pelligrino Limonata sparkling water.

Food that Makes You Go “Mmm”
Lune isn’t just about the vino; they’ve got some seriously mouthwatering food too. Imagine enjoying your glass of wine while indulging in a plate of artisanal cheeses, tapas bursting with flavor, or a grilled cheese made with brie, blueberries, crispy bacon, and jalapeños. The culinary pairings at Lune will take your wine experience to a whole new level.

Chill Vibes, Cozy Ambiance
Now let’s talk about the ambiance. Picture this: soft lighting, comfy seats, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Lune Wine Bar has nailed it when it comes to creating an environment that’s perfect for a romantic date night or a chill hangout with your pals. The art deco styling, murals, and cozy velvet cushions and wall tapestries make it the kind of place where you can be transported away from your day and simply enjoy good company over and great wine and a meal.

Meet the Wine Whisperers
The folks at Lune Wine Bar aren’t just experts; they’re passionate wine whisperers and foodies — in fact, they’re also the founders of well-loved charcuterie company Fig & Honey. They know their stuff, and they’re ready to guide you through their extensive wine selection. Have a question? Want a recommendation? Just ask, and they’ll happily share their wisdom with you.
Supporting Local Goodness
One more reason to love Lune Wine Bar is their commitment to supporting local wineries and food growers. By showcasing wines from nearby and in state vineyards, they’re not only giving you a taste of the best local flavors, but also contributing to the growth of our community. Cheers to that!
