March is always a great month to get outside and be active. There are several standout races happening around our area over the next four weeks. Some are fundraisers for local organizations and some feature not-so-healthy treats, like beer and donuts!
Here’s the FresYes guide to March races.
Sanger Blossom Trail 2-Mile and 10K Walk/Runs
When: Saturday, March 3
Cost: $30 for adults, kid races $5 (prices increase day of races)
The start and finish lines are in downtown Sanger. Racers will head into the country and race past the fruit and nut tree blossoms. It’s a relatively flat course. An awards ceremony will take place following the race. Participants are encouraged to stay and check out the 30th Annual Blossom Festival which will be taking place in downtown Sanger. San Joaquin River Trail Half Marathon & 10K—Auberry
When: Saturday, March 3
Cost: $80 for the half marathon (price increases 3/2)

This trail run is very popular and it’s also difficult. There’s a 2,500-feet elevation gain, so it’s not for beginners. There’s also rocks, dirt, tree roots, and other natural obstacles.
All participants receive:
• Custom Finisher medal
• Custom event shirt
• Custom SWAG
