Grew up in: Fresno
Attended school at: Buchanan High, Fresno State
Family: One very stubborn beagle named Grover
What I like about Fresno: It’s a big city with a small-town feel. It’s driving distance to so many amazing destinations in the state. It has a lot to offer in terms of food and culture!
Favorite story I’ve written: That would have to be “My Love Letter to the Fresno Grizzlies,” written the day the Giants ended their affiliation with the team. It went the most “viral” out of all my stories, all the way up to the Grizzlies GM, who told me how much it meant to him. It ended up landing me a spot on the Fresno Grizzlies Community Advisory Board, where I am still serving 3 years later.
What FresYes means to me: Supporting our community and appreciating our city for all it has to offer. Shopping and eating local!
Favorite Fresno landmark: Chukchansi Park 😉
Favorite place to get a drink in Fresno area: Wherever Garden Cocktails is doing a pop-up!
Favorite Fresno food destination: The Annex Kitchen, hands down.
Favorite thing to do on the weekend: Check out a new local restaurant or go to a Grizzlies game.
Favorite non-Fresno destination: St. Louis (Go Cards!)
Cake or pie: Cake, all the way.
More about me: I love baseball, in case you haven’t figured it out yet. Also, I accidentally became a professional dog sitter in my spare time and am now studying to be a dog trainer.
