First and foremost, we want to shine a light on you and the business. Our thought is that we want to share the inside story of the best locally owned businesses here in the Fresno / Clovis area.
The cost? Absolutely free! Really. The only thing we ask is that you share the published story with your friends, family and following too.
We’re stepping it up in 2024! Each of our Local Business Interviews in 2024 will also be a podcast interview with Jason (either in person or via Zoom). We’ll then take that conversation and create a 30 minute podcast, the blog post, a YouTube video, and of course all of the social content that we normally do!
Take as long as you like to answer each question as best as you can. We’re looking for a paragraph or two for each question (not a simple sentence). Think of this as a conversation.
IMPORTANT: Don’t like a question – pose your own! We’ll make it work! Craft the question to fit the answer you want the public to hear. It’s your story.
PRO TIP: We’ve never seen a post with too many words or too many pictures! The best performing posts have way more words than you might think – and way more pictures too!
Pictures: We use landscape images on the website. We know you have a bunch of vertical ones and if we use those, we may need to crop them to landscape.
We’ll then take your answers and craft a beautiful blog post on FresYes.com. We’ll also send that out to our newsletter subscribers (currently 33,000) and push it to our socials (Instagram is currently at 30,000+ followers / Facebook has 27,000+).

If it helps, here’s a list of the questions we’re going to ask you. You can click on each and there’s a description below that help to explain what it is we’re looking for. If you see something in a published story you want to change, we can do that too. Remember, you do not have to stick to the questions we listed. If it makes more sense make up your own to fit the answers you want to give.
Q1: Who are you, where did you come from, and what do you do?
We’re asking you personally, the owner, for a little background on you. We don’t mean to pry but people love it when they know personal details about the owners.
Q2: Tell us about the business
Describe what it is that you do, how long you’ve been there, what was the inspiration – that kind of thing.
Q3: Tell us about something that you do that makes you stand out.
Here’s a great place to talk about that one thing (or two) that you feel sets you apart from the rest. Go ahead and toot your own horn!
Q4: What is it that most people DON’T know about your business?
(that you wished they did) Here’s your chance to set the record straight, or give them the inside scoop on a secret menu, or suggest a product or service that you think is under served.
Q5: Anything coming up?
Let the readers know about new locations, plans for expansion, new items, programs, or anything that is coming soon. We want to build up the excitement and anticipation.
Q6: Anything else you would like our readers to know?
Similar to the earlier one but this is more of a chance to expand on a particular product, service or perhaps a deadline that they should know about. If we missed a question you think we should have asked – let’s do that.
