Today, Buzzfeed ran a story about a Fresno woman and her dog who’ve gone—as the kids say—viral.
This week, Elaine Diaz went on vacation leaving her nephew, Tommy Rivers, in charge of her Pomeranian, Pepper. Elaine left Tommy some pretty standard directions for taking care of Pepper, like how much to feed her, and some fairly un-standard directions, like “don’t you hate her ’cause you ain’t her.”
Tommy tweeted out his aunt’s instructions, along with a picture of Pepper, and it was an instant hit. At this time, his tweet has been retweeted over 55,000 times.

This isn’t Elaine’s and Pepper’s first brush with fame. The pair appeared in The Fresno Bee after Pepper won the Most Creative prize in the Hula Wiggle Butt Contest at the Bully Walk at Woodward Park in 2015 (I really wish I had seen Pepper’s hula wiggle).
According to Buzzfeed, “Both Tommy and Diaz said that they’re shocked that his post went so viral. Diaz called her list’s popularity ‘so funny.'”
Now be honest: How many of you dog owners out there have gotten a little out of hand when leaving instructions for someone caring for your pet? I know I have, and I have no regrets.
