Friday Sunset Kayak Tour – Owl Hollow to Fort Washington Beach
Hosted by the San Joaquin River Parkways and Conservation Trust, this tour begins at 4:30 p.m. with exhilarating riffles that turn into calm downriver stretches. Total time 3.5 hours, approximately 2.5 hours on the water: $30 members, $35 non-members. Maximum of 12 participants, each person has their own boat. Children 12+ welcome. [Details]
Geek Night: Real Men Wear Pink
Geek Night returns Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Bitwise South Stadium with this event, hosted by Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Valley. The night will be filled with 80s tunes courtesy of Soft Rock 98.9, a cornhole competition, free beer from Full Circle Brewing Co., and food from Where’s The Food? and The Smokin’ Burrito Food Truck and Catering. There will also be a selfie booth plus information on the American Cancer Society and the services they provide. [Details]
Nights in the Plaza: The Larry Flores Band
Bring the family to Arte Américas Friday for a night of Tejano music with The Larry Flores Band. Doors open at 7 p.m., show from 8-10. $12 for adults, $10 for members, $5 for kids under 10. Live Dead ’69 Celebrates Jerry Garcia’s 75th Birthday

Saturday Morning Long Half-day Kayak Tour
If you miss Friday’s kayak tour along the San Joaquin River, you can try again Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Total time 4.5 hours, approximately 3.5 hours on the water. $40 members, $45 non-members. [Details]

Vibe Barbecue Festival
