Yesterday, I wrote about local independent horror director Michael S. Rodriguez’s collection of four short films. You can see his movie, Last American Horror Show, tonight only at the Tower Theatre. Take a Drive to Reedley
Craig Scharton visited Reedley recently and reports back that it is a pretty awesome place. Take the scenic drive and then spend some time in Reedley’s fantastic downtown, enjoying its small-town charm and quaint shops. There’s plenty of good food and drink to be found, and you can walk it all off on the trail that encircles the city. [Details]
Get Yer Big Hat Days On
This weekend is the annual Big Hat Days festival in Old Town Clovis. Enjoy 15 blocks of food and vendors, music and fun. And of course, big, big hats. Event takes place Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission, no pets. [Details]
Be a Proud Geek at FresCon Year 3

Attend the COMMON SPACE Grand Opening Block Party
COMMON SPACE, a nonprofit incubator that supports the launch of grassroots community ideas to improve the Central California region, will hold a community block party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2915 Tulare Street in Fresno. There will be BBQ, music, local vendors, and fun activities for kids. [Details]

Fresno’s Fab Faux will rock Fulton 55 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. – yeah yeah yeah. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. (um, the building’s actual doors, not the band), and the event is 21 and over. Cost is $10 in advance, $12 day of show. [Details]
