Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some fun suggestions for events happening in Fresno and beyond.
This weekend is the continuation of the Rogue Festival. You’ll want to check out the full calendar of events for the annual fringe festival—performances take place around the Tower District tonight and Saturday.
Also tonight is Big Poppa’s Café Part 2. We covered the Big Poppa’s Pop-up Café breakfast tribute earlier this week, and here you can find details about the party happening tonight from 5:30 to midnight at Take 3 Burgers.
The monthly Fresno Filmworks selection will take place at the Tower Theatre. In the Fade, starring Diane Kruger, will show at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.
At 9 p.m. is The Cure vs The Smiths DJ Night at Strummer’s. This is a free, 21+ show for all you little goths out there.
If jazz is more your style, Keysha & The Impromptu Band will be laying it down at The Standard in north Fresno from 6 to 8 p.m. (You could do this THEN go get your goth on in the Tower.)
Fans of older films should head to the Crest Theatre downtown for a showing of The Quiet Man starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. It’s just $5 to get to see an older film in a historic theater.
Saturday is the final day of the Rogue Festival, and there are 45 shows.
Also at 10 a.m., you can make your own glass egg at Ballis Glass—just in time for Easter.
From 7 to 10 a.m., car enthusiasts will want to be in Clovis for the Clovis SMOGS Cars & Coffee event.
The Frespex 2018 Stamp Show is happening Saturday and Sunday at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District. That starts at 10 a.m.
And the Pints for Pitties fundraiser, hosted by Fresno Bully Rescue, will start at 12 p.m. at House of Pendragon in Sanger.
On Sunday, enjoy Yoga and Beer at 3 p.m. at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co.
Good Company Players and Roger Rocka’s presents Annie at 1 p.m.
Gazebo Gardens Nursery will host an Ikebana class at 2 p.m. (Ikebana is an ancient Japanese art form of arranging living flowers.)
Old Town Clovis will host a Craft Beer Crawl, also at 2 p.m.
Or, if wine is more your style, head to Engelmann Cellars at 1 p.m. for Acoustic Soul. Bring the family and enjoy the beautiful view, wine tasting, and a picnic.
