As you know, FresYes is all about local community.
We’ve got great news.
We’ve started a series of very local Facebook groups just for the area in which you live!
- Bullard
- Downtown Fresno
- Fig Garden
- Historic Fresno High
- Northeast Fresno
- Northwest Fresno
- River Park
- Sunnyside
- Tower District
- Clovis
What can I post there?
Feel free to add any information you think the residents of your neighborhood might enjoy, appreciate or need to know. Spread the word about local crime, concerns, garage sales, fundraisers, etc. If you need help finding a person to fix your fence, a plumber, an electrician, or just want to discuss the best place to eat in town, this is the group for you.
It’s you that makes FresYes a special place and we hope these new groups make your experience and your neighbors even better.
Is it safe?
The groups are “closed” which means you have to ask to be added. Don’t worry, we have a team of people standing by to approve you! They are also actively moderating the posts. This isn’t the place for “negativity”. We’re looking to promote positive and helpful discussions within the community.
As for privacy, being a closed group only active members of that group can see what is posted in the group. You can see more about group privacy here. We also recommend you regularly review your personal privacy settings. You can do that here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=privacy.
If you see something that doesn’t fit our style – just flag it and one of our moderators will attend to it quickly.
As for us, we’ll be sharing some of our new posts that are relevant to the neighborhood as well as some special “Group Only” offers and giveaways.
We’re excited to see what you post and how you use the group!
IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to click “join group” and then under Notifications choose “All Posts” to get all the updates from the residents of the Group.
