The holiday season is upon us once again! Think for a second and recall your favorite Christmas memory as a child. For some of us it may be opening that toy we wanted for months, for others reminiscing on family gatherings enjoying each others company, or maybe even writing letters to Santa.
Lucky for us at FresYes we were able to get our hands on 200+ Angel Tree ornaments or in other words letters to Santa! Founded in 1982 by an ex-prisoner, Angel Tree has grown to become the largest national outreach program and provides gifts to children whose parent, or parents are incarcerated. This is a reality for over 2.7 million children across the U.S., which is why we need all the help we can get! Imagine your one gift becoming that child’s favorite Christmas memory they end up carrying with them for life, how awesome is that?
We have received all of our ornaments and just finished putting them together after our morning hour of power at the office. Each ornament we hang on our tree represents a gift a child has asked to receive for Christmas. Gifts range anywhere from a Barbie with a car to a scooter for riding around on. Gifts don’t need to cost you an arm and a leg as Angel Tree’s website asks you spend anywhere from $15-25 on any given gift and recommends you take multiple kids if you are able to spend more than $40. If you feel you cannot afford a gift at this time but would still like to contribute we are accepting donations of any amount, because the more we can give the better.
We will have our Angel Tree ornaments hanging on our tree in the FresYes office by days end for all to see. If you would like to participate it’s fun, easy, and there are multiple ways to get in contact with us so no excuses! To receive an Angel Tree ornament you can email dalton@fresyes.com, call 559.286.0055 or stop by our office at 7785 N Palm Ave. #108 Fresno, CA right next to GB3 and handpick your angel off our tree yourself. We are only able to accept gifts through December 13th to ensure they will be delivered on time, so there’s no time to waste.
