True story: I don’t think I’ve ever finished a meal at Benaddiction without food on my face … or occasionally in my hair. This is not really a bad thing. It’s just a reality I’ve come to accept. (Also, I might be an exceptionally messy eater.) Such is the wonderful hazard of eating at Benaddiction, an uber-successful local food truck turned brick-and-mortar restaurant in West Fresno.
Benaddiction – whose tag line is “Rockin’ Good Food” – is a must if you’re in the mood for some unique breakfast or brunch. The crux of Benaddiction’s menu is their super addicting eggs benedict sandwiches. Like all of their food, the sandwiches have musically-themed names.
My personal favorite is The Joker, which has salmon, bacon, avocado, poached egg and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin. You also have the option of getting it as a more traditional, “open-faced” eggs benedict. But in my opinion, the sandwich is the way to go. It’s also how I’ve gotten egg yolk in my hair before (no joke lol). You bite in, and all the flavors just come oozing out! Other awesome benedict sandwiches include Mr. Jones (crab cake) and The Distance (tri-tip). I highly recommend the potatoes on the side.
There are a whole host of other awesome menu items to try at the Benaddiction restaurant. For example, I also got syrup on my cheek recently from eating their graham-cracker encrusted French toast sticks. There’s also French toast balls, French-toasted croissants and a variety of flap jacks. Benaddiction also boasts many daily specials, whether they be unique flap jack flavors or muffins, cinnamon rolls and danishes. Many of these are made with local fruits, as are the jarred jams and jellies that you can buy from them.
If you’re hankering for something other than breakfast, Benaddiction is open until 3 p.m. and serves lunch as well. A personal favorite of mine is the Flat Bottom Grilled Cheese, which has cheddar, mozzarella, gruyere, gouda, jarlsberg AND parmesan. There are also salads, wraps, sandwiches and even a Benaddiction burger! Pretty much everything they serve has their own unique twist. That’s what makes a visit to Benaddiction so special.
Benaddiction is on the smaller side, so be prepared for a bit of a wait if you visit on a weekend morning. But I promise you, it’s worth every minute! Seriously one of the best and most unique breakfast spots in town, no question. The restaurant is located at 3015 W Bullard Ave in Fresno. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see what amazing new dishes they’re cooking up next!
