CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH AND PETANQUE
SATURDAY, MARCH 25 11:00 am
COKE HALLOWELL CENTER FOR RIVER STUDIES
It’s pronounced “peh TONK” and it is a deceptively simple game played on dirt with small steel balls. Petanque originated in France and has gained popularity in the US, and Fresno Petanque club members are eager to teach you the game. It just takes enthusiasm, no special skills or strength. Champagne will help you get into the proper French spirit, followed by a sumptuous brunch in the River Center Ranch House. After a rousing game of boules, enjoy a glass of pastis and lively banter. Let the good times roll.
